The strength of our vehicle adaptations is tested in our own test center. An independent government agency checks every test to be eligible for European type approval. Our test center can also be used by third parties.

Are our modifications to the vehicles safe? Sure! All vital parts of a vehicle must meet specific conditions in order to meet the strict European safety requirements. And B-Style Mobility Solutions meets all requirements. In the event of an accident, you naturally want the passengers to remain securely in place. It is vital that things like chair legs, seat belt columns and lowering the floor can withstand the impact. All adjustments are developed by the R&D department of B-Style and then tested for strength on our own test bench.
To measure how strong all parts are, B-Style Mobility Solutions has built its own test bench according to the European guidelines. This test center consists of several hydraulic cylinders with attachment points for both an object (such as a vehicle) and the points to be measured, such as chair legs. In between is measuring equipment that is linked to computers with software, so that we can measure exactly how much power is used when. The seat legs must always be tested in combination with the vehicle, to also check whether the connection is strong enough.
To be eligible for European type approval, all tests are attended by an independent party. In the case of B-Style, it is RDW, a Dutch government agency for the car industry. They ensure that the test is carried out in accordance with the guidelines and checks all results. An approval in the Netherlands as a Schengen country automatically ensures European type approval.
All tests are recorded accurately. The measurements are filmed with cameras at various angles, so that afterwards you can see exactly what happened in slow motion and close-up. This helps the research & development department enormously in designing and if necessary improving all components. What is also recorded is the force in Nm of each measured point, of course with a computer. This information is very valuable and says whether the component is complying with the legislation and also how much stronger it is than prescribed.
Our test center is regularly rented by other companies, so that they can test how strong their products are. These can be all kinds of products, as long as it fits on our test bench. Naturally, these tests are also attended by an independent government agency to obtain European Type Approval.
